NYC Bar Association Condemns Barr for Acting in Concert with Trump to Protect Roger Stone
by Jerry Lambe | 1:12 pm, February 13th, 2020
The New York City Bar Association on Wednesday issued a stinging rebuke of Attorney General William Barr and the Justice Department, expressing deep concerns about the impartial administration of justice with regards to former Trump advisor Roger Stones prosecution.
In a letter addressed to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and the leaders of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, the Bar Association warned that DOJs intervention in Stones sentencing recommendation reflected a disregard for the rule of law and posed a serious danger to the American criminal justice system.
After recounting the events leading up to the resignation of the prosecutors assigned to Stones case, the Bar Association disabused lawmakers of the notion that the DOJs conduct was in any way aligned with normal operating procedures, referring to the recent developments as highly unusual and irregular.

(15,100 posts)Every state has its own bar association. I don't know where Barr has been admitted. Probably not New York. DC doesn't have a separate bar - someone has to apply to practice law in DC with a law license from another state.
That's my understanding anyway.
Let's find out where Barr is licensed and petition them!

(Barr is licensed in DC and new york state; the NYC bar association has nothing to do with licensing attorneys in New York.)

(2,356 posts)..... (only specific state-by-state official entities can), it is helpful for the general public to know where/when professionals take a stand.
Yea, yea, I know ..... it's not nearly enough for what these 2 MF's have already done to destroy the rule of law, but it does matter that the general public get some sort of credible value judgment on which to rely.

(2,356 posts)... that the complaint went to an appropriate licensing/disciplinary board of each of those 2 states and not simply to a Bar Association without such authority if needed/used.
