Go fuck yourselves sideways with a First Edition, Hard Cover copy of Atlas Shrugged you worthless pieces of amphibian shit.
I've seen Nigerian grandparent scammers that have more honor, integrity and courage then you.
I really don't give one fuck about you. Your place in our history has already been written. I look forward to your families, throughout generation after generation, having to see your names alongside such American luminaries as Benedict Arnold, Nixon, Aldrich Ames, Robert Hansen and Tokyo Rose.
No, what concerns me is what you've done, and the message you've sent to today's young military leaders.
See, I spent 30 years in the Navy. I've listened to folks like you "pontificate" about honor, integrity and courage.
In your cases, that's all been a fucking fraud.
I get it. You confuse "loyalty" with "honor".
The message you're sending to tomorrow's leaders is that they need to be sniveling cowards if the party they support is in power.
The message you've sent is; "all that grandiose talk about integrity, courage and 'doing what is right' is all fucking bullshit".
I can understand you fucking up and destroying your reputation, but I can never forgive nor forget the message you've sent to our future leaders.
I suggest you find the nearest fucking microphone and start telling the American people the fucking truth about this treasonous POS in the White House.
It won't save your legacy, but it might save the country.

(15,326 posts)When you see them in uniform think Idi Amin, not General Bradley.
I was fortunate to work for leaders, including some Flag Officers that I would have "run through a brick wall" for.
Others, well, just passing them in the passageway was enough to fill you with a burning desire to take a " salt water shower".
There are some that actually emboby what the uniform represents. These folks that serve this jackass use the uniform as a shield.
Some would jump on a grenade to save you... these guys would throw you on the grenade and then brag about how courageous they were.

Exactly and very well said! As a Army veteran I'm appalled and disgusted by the top brass we have these days. Toadies to our chump in chief almost to a person. At least SOME in our military still hold to their oath to protect the Constitution and not a chickenhawk traitor who leads us to ever sinking status in the world.

(16,926 posts)not fooled by the "honor our military" with blind allegiance to the uniform, ignoring that "actions" taken by those wearing them.
That IQ45 can pardon a murdering SEAL while "firing" a decorated war hero - those actions are a disgrace to our country and those that have honorably worn the uniforms and served.

(1,236 posts)As a disabled vet with over 20 years service I am completely disgusted by today's military leadership. Honor frequently involves courage, and they have none. Doing what is right is equally foreign to them. How fortunate this country has been to not have had this leadership in our past, and how unfortunate we are to have it now.

(659 posts)Behind the scenes he was apparently critical of Bush Administration decisions, but he wouldn't speak out. Instead, to his eternal disgrace, he went in front of the UN and sold us all out. We ended up in a war based on evidence he knew at the time was crap. He did more to legitimize entering that war than anyone. He will never wash the blood off his hands.
I'd be much more impressed if these people would show loyalty to the country, and to humanity in general, rather than their party.

Powell threw public opinion towards the Iraq war more than anything else....Period.
Powell soooo much wanted to be in the Rich White Boys Club, he lied for Cheney/Rumsfeld/etc. He was stupid to think that the Republicans would do anything but kick him to the curb after he served his purpose. And they did exactly that.......
If the Mai Lai massacre happened today, Trump would have the soldier/murderers all up on stage and would give them all medals......

(357 posts)Trump is just a dumbass. He doesn't have the sophistication or the intellect to do what he is doing to our country without the slobbering servility of cowards like Kelly, Mattis, McGwire and the entire Republican congress except for Amash and Romney.

(23,224 posts)Yeah, they had their moments when they found the spine to oppose the Shitgibbon, but that's all they were--moments. Amash DID have the decency to leave the party and say "no more," but he still votes with the enablers on a lot of issues. Rmoney hasn't found that. Unless he endorses the Democratic presidential candidate, and starts voting against Shitgibbon, I can only say I'm grateful for the impeachment vote, now proceed with self-fornication.

Most generals since WW2 know the wars they engage in have been fought simply to gain resources and power for military-industrial-corporate interests and nothing to do with honor or integrity. They've all been scammers as far as I can tell.
Not talking about the enlisted soldier.
