There are a couple of blue dog/conservadems that I want elected in the worst way

1) Heidi Heitkamp. Rick Berg wants women who have abortions to be prosecuted for murder. he wants to privatize social security and medicare. he wants to get rid of environmental regulations. I don't need to go on, do I? This is a race for an open U.S. Senate seat.
The race is tied.

2) Bob Kerrey. I really dislike Kerrey and I dislike how he's sniping at the President. Deb Fischer, his opponent, one of LaPalinista's "mama grizzlies" is a right wing moron. Last I checked she had a big lead over him.

Fischer and Berg are so horrendous that any blue dog looks great in comparison.

I'm fortunate to live in a state where there is actually a vibrant 3rd party that holds seats in the state legislature.

it's voter demographics and local politics; there are parts of the country where you're not going to elect someone who isn't a conservative. Sam Nunn could get elected as a Senator from Georgia, as a Democrat; no liberal would have, no matter who it was. Which isn't about "accomodating more choices" at all.

It is now represented by Pete Hoekstra's former Administrative Assist or "AA". I have purposely forgotten his name. No Dem to the left of Ben Nelson could possibly win the district.

Ben Nelson is not my idea of a Dem, but I'd send someone like him money, and maybe find a way to go back during election season to help him because a Ben Nelson clone would be just such an improvement over a Hoekstra clone.

places where the voters feel they have to choose a strategic option rahter than their first choice. No one should feel like they have to vote against someone rather than for someone. I know I am sure sick and tired of it.

vs. Todd Akin.

She has pissed a lot of people off, and her ads talk about how she has "stood up to the president." But I so want her to be re-elected.
