Dear Bill Maher - that was all nice and dandy you apologize to Christine O'Donnell however....

Your videos was NOT the reason Christine O'Donnell lost.

Delaware Democrats outnumber republicans over 2-1. That doesn't mean a republican can't win but it does mean that some right-wing idiotic teabagging candidate doesn't stand a chance. Republican Mike Castle won all those statewide general elections because he was smart enough to be moderate which appealed to independents and moderate democrats.

Just remember that BEFORE you released all those videos of O'Donnell on your show, Karl Rove predicted that the seat was now safe democrat and the republicans would not gain the senate. In fact he made that prediction about 10 minutes after the primary election where O'Donnell defeated Mike Castle. Mind you she won that because Delaware has closed elections and therefore those independents and moderate democrats weren't there to help Castle win. And for us Delaware Dems we're glad - because it helped elect us one of the best new senators in DC - Chris Coons!

Those videos Bill Maher released were nothing more than amusement to us and gave way more attention to a senate race that probably didn't need it.

AND btw, O'Donnell isn't from Delaware, when she's not campaigning in our state she's back home in New Jersey.

Whatever went wrong it wasn't her fault. It's like all these big giant boogiemen are out there to get her and poor Miss Chrissie can't do anything to stop it.

4. That segment was dull, self indulgent and not what I pay HBO to deliver

I think Bill needs to do his personal business off air. O'Donnell was vacuous, not funny, she did not respond to the questions asked and instead did the Palin, 'I'll answer another question instead' and watching Bill allow that disrespect to him and to his audience was painful. Worst Real Time ever, and HBO needs to offer a discount if they are going to keep serving up Bill's personal life rather than intelligent commentary on actual politics or social issues.
A huge waste of time, and when I pay for a waste of time, I don't forget it. Bill did this years ago with Coulter too, he'd tell the audience they were not allowed to boo her, because she was his friend, and then he'd let he spew bullshit while he smiled at her knees.

If he's going to have a guest like that on his show he should be better prepared to debunk her set of "facts"

She's pretty much rejected by the GOP these days. Her book was a total bomb and the DE GOP won't return her phone calls. All that money she earned from the campaign and converted into PAC money is gone plus no one is donating to her. I'm guessing she called him up and cried on his shoulder how miserable her life is and probably blamed him for that. He did it out of pity which is so untypical of Maher.

spew her bs - unchallenged.

It was very weird. He should have just taken her out for coffee & not ruined the first part of his show.
