(9,897 posts)How exactly does an industry that 'earns' its money by skimming off of the healthcare benefits it provides garner ANY respect at all? There is less value around that particular table than anywhere else on Earth today...

(82,849 posts)No, they don't provide any health care, they don't diagnose, they don't prescribe, they don't read charts or images, but they're in the mix with their hands in the cash flow, so Trump meets with them rather than actual medical professionals.

(10,885 posts)Anytime they show a meeting of this type with reporters in the room, it ends this way with visitors being shepherded out the room. The woman you hear is the new bride of Stephen Miller, so he can't complain if his wife ever screams at him...it's what she's paid to do in her gubmint job.
It's almost funny to see this occur on a day when Chump decides to answer one more question after the attempt to clear the room. You have all the screaming, Chump begins to drone on, and then they have to begin the screaming/clearing all over again.

(30,676 posts)They were screaming at the reporters, not the executives. And they just do that and start to grab and push people. Very rude. They are on the clock
It's a tradition older than Trump's admin.
Oops. That's going to have to stop.

(2,039 posts)were there at the meeting to beseech "Ebola Roi" (Trump) for help in squirming out of having to pay the health insurance claims of any corona-virus-infected people.
Trump (waving his tiny hands back and forth in that weird horizontal gesture of his that looks like automatic doors at a grocery store gone berserk): "Just don't pay? Okay? It's a new virus, okay? So don't pay! Just say, 'Hey, folks, is it in your, you know, your papers, your papers we gave you when you got your insurance? No? Then, sorry! It ain't covered!' It's perfect! Just like the transcript. Just like the phone call. Well, maybe not that perfect!"

(6,212 posts)to Pence. It seems trump is still in the middle of it all. I guess he thinks he lies better than Pence.

(10,885 posts)If Pence's task force does well, Chump will then be able to claim he was a big part of it behind the scenes.
If it doesn't go well, Chump will revert to blaming Pence for any screw-ups.
For him, it's a win-win.

(6,212 posts)but I believe you are right. It would be a win win for him.
