"Not enough angry white guys to sustain the GOP", Lindsey Graham.

Try as Republican leaders might to foreground as many minority party members as they can find, the lack of racial diversity in the GOP is evident, and at least one prominent Republican lawmaker is becoming increasingly concerned.

"The demographics race we're losing badly," Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told the Washington Post. "We're not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term."

True enough: In a recent piece on the presidental election's "racial calculations," National Jounal's Ron Brownstein noted that Camp Romney needs to secure a likely unattainable percentage of white voters for a chance to win in November.

"A GOP coalition that relies almost entirely on whites could squeeze out one more narrow victory in November," Brownstein writes. "But if Republicans can't find more effective ways to bridge the priorities of their conservative core and the diversifying Next America, that weight will grow more daunting every year."

I caught this quote on CNN this morning. It strikes me that the GOP know exactly how racist their base is. It's been politically expedient for them to exploit this, but now they know they need either more white guys or will have to move their party in a different direction in order to appeal to a wider range of voters.

Personally, I think it's too little too late. The damage has been done and it will take a very long time before anyone can look at that party and not see it with white sheets.

Some super sick Republican values there. Why do Republicans HATE decency? Why are Republicans attepting live in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, when they hate freedom and have FEAR at the core of their psyche?

Is there a machine that manufactures them! Or is Lindsay worried they aren't teaching enough hate to their kids?

Well, it's not just that the ReThug base is shrinking, but also they've pissed off blacks, women, hispanics, and the Paul supporters. (Women don't ever forget.) But what hasn't gotten any media attention at all is the fact that Paulistas are so angry that they wouldn't vote for Romney even if he gave each one of them an elevator for their cars. (I know this because one of my close friends is a Paulista and I've been following the campaign.)

young people are a lot less republican and a lot less racist.

So each year more republicans die off and more democrats reach voting age.

R is for the past, D is for the future.

10. They have the ability to create many more angry white guys. They're experts!

Their experts at creating angry voters...look at all the teabaggers they created. That's why the brought up abortion and contraception...fire up all those right to lifers. Look how they created so much anger with whites over ACA. They managed to turn off more than 50% of the people. It really "took brass" as Clinton said, to turn that many people against health insurance. Never fear...they'll create a bunch of wedge issues by 2016 and 2020.
