Princess doesn't go to a hospital, her doctor has their own private operating room.

No, I don't think so. Just like the access to tests, the privileged will have access to the finest care available and whatever they need.

I don't assume a Universal outcome for care in this country. It's a two-tier deal.

I'm not sure what they're defining as 'elective' in this case. In the broadest sense, it's surgery that is scheduled, rather than the result of an emergency admission.

Depending on the surgery, rescheduling it for a time when your hospital is not pulsing with viruses might be the prudent thing to do as well.
