Screaming MOO will not save us. The news media is screaming Moo. Members of Congress are screaming Moo. Doctors around the country are screaming Moo. Governors around the country are screaming Moo. That will not save us from the virus.
The number one thing the American people can do to protect themselves from the virus is to call for the immediate removal of President Trump. All major news organizations, members of Congress, Governors and the American people must call for the removal of President Trump. Our lives depend on it.
President Trump lied about the virus and delayed the Governments response to the virus. Americans are dying because of it. This fact alone demands the immediate removal of President Trump.
Trump is also playing politics with the virus and he is saying we need people to go back to work as the virus is spreading around the country. That is the act of a mad man.
As the death toll rises, every single death will be blood on Trumps hands and ours if we do not remove him.

(11,869 posts)(see what I did there?) I can't understand why this has not happened.
I have been beating this drum for a while now. Do I think Trump will resign? NO. Do I think the Democrats are missing an opportunity to change the messaging? HELL YES.
Every Dem. that is being interviewed should begin the interview by saying:
"Before we begin, let me just state that Donald Trump must resign. Now... what was your question?"
Change the narrative. Change it universally to resignation. This is what the Thugs do masterfully and the Democrats can't seen to get a handle on. What this accomplishes it makes every talking head, and every newspaper pay attention to the Resignation message. It puts every Republican on record immediately when asked what they think about the calls for resignation.

Please forgive the light-hearted frivolity. Its better to laugh than to cry.

You better watch out
There may be dogs about
I've looked over Jordan, and I have seen
Things are not what they seem
What do you get for pretending the danger's not real
Meek and obedient you follow the leader
Down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel
What a surprise
The look of terminal shock in your eyes
Now things are really what they seem
No, this is no bad dream
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He makes me down to lie
Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by
With bright knives he releaseth my soul
He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places
He converteth me to lamb cutlets
For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger
When cometh the day we lowly ones
Through quiet reflection, and great dedication
Master the art of karate
Lo, we shall rise up
And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water
Bleating and babbling we fell on his neck with a scream
Wave upon wave of demented avengers
March cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream
Have you heard the news?
The dogs are dead
You better stay home
And do as you're told
Get out of the road if you want to grow old

(54,405 posts)I just talked to a friend in Paris, and France (unofficially, of course) assumes that at least 35% to 40% of the population is already infected, if most asymptomatic. So they have mostly stopped testing to keep the statistics down. When lockdown seemed imminent, they told people in Paris to get out of town, and two million out of ten million did. This caused a predictable immediate explosion in the number of people infected in the areas outside of Paris. My friend cynically called it "une solution typiquement française," or a typical French solution. One of my favorite stories when growing up was the very typically French version of "Stone Soup."
