Interesting report from a Covid patient

As shared by his friend, who is a guide on the safari I watch, so I have no other info except that the guy who shared this isn't someone given to flights of fantasy.

His friend said he was definitely diagnosed but, for him, it felt much like a cold virus and he felt pretty much recovered in about 4 days. Now he's in quarantine for 2 weeks, and has to have TWO negative tests before he can be considered truly recovered and safe to be around.

That double testing makes a whole lot of sense, but since we can't even get a first test to people, true recovery will likely be a tricky call.

For most people who are young and healthy, getting COVID-19 essentially amounts to getting a cold. It won't hurt them, but by not getting tested and not selff-quarantining, they're exposing others to it.

Last month went through some sort of virus that felt like a cold. Despite being in one of the 'vulnerable' categories, I have no identified underlying health conditions so I'm not going to waste time worrying, but the thought it could have been something else did cross my mind.

I've been in total home isolation, having no contact with anyone, for going on 8 days. I'm hoping to stretch that to 14 days, minimum, before I might possibly need to make a run to a store.

I don't know anything about the science of blood testing, but if it is possible I hope they include a screening for Covid 19 antibodies, in all future 'routine' blood screenings.
