I don’t know if that deal ever went thru, but it reminds me of where my brother used to work in NC. His company bought an old R J Reynolds plant, a giant cigarette factory. The kind of place they use golf carts to get around but probably still smaller than Lordstown. They got huge tax incentives but it was really a small startup. (Like Workhorse). They were failing so a Russian oligarch (criminal) bought the place, then leased the property. Some sort of tax evasion scheme just like the original purchase was obviously a money laundering scheme.
