But by then my fever was already gone two days, I went to the ER twice. Inhaler, steroids, antibiotics, cough medicine.

When I got my results, it said "not detected," then clarified that not detected is not the same thing as negative, as it only is seen on the test if you had a fever at the time of taking it, There have been a lot of sick people at my job these last several weeks. There's no telling.... The testing situation in Texas is still very bad.

They are at about 130 tests per million. Compare to NY and WA at over 6,000 per million. (data from https://covidtracking.com/ )

For your sake, I hope the reported numbers are way behind actual number of tests processed.

Texas has tested about 750 per million people. Compare that to NY or WA who have tested over 6,000 per million. (Data from https://covidtracking.com/ )

Of course, even 6,000 per million is waaayy to low, but after DT admin's incompetence and resistance blocked testing efforts for the critical first seven weeks, at least some states appear to be on track to getting their act together.

Unfortunately, Texas doesn't appear to be one of them.

We can never "make up for" the seven weeks of testing, tracing, and containment time lost, but as WHO Director General points out, shelter in place is not enough by itself. We must implement systems to find every suspected case at community level to enable more targeted, and effective, containment efforts.

Hope he's out of the woods by now and back to 100% before too long.
