I'm working at home, of course. We're doing training and in chat, my co-worker said that the faculty of their school organized a parade for the children currently being home-schooled.
The teachers and staff decorated their cars and are riding through the neighborhood past the students' homes honking horns, playing music and holding up signs saying they love and miss them.
What a great way to make contact but still maintain social distancing for kids who haven't seen their teachers in a while!

(1,671 posts)practicing good social distancing while getting their parade set up. My husband (a retired teacher) and I watched from our living room window as 6 decorated cars pulled up along the roadside and the women (1 or 2 per car) were getting out, going to each others cars, taking selfies with each other, and generally congregating while waiting for a 7th car to arrive. The woman in the 7th car got out and went to greet the other women before they all set off for their car parade. [sigh]
