Is there any reason video conferencing is a problem for court proceeding? I know closed circuit tv is used sometimes but don’t know if everyone except the defendant could work from home.

being able to use these powers in cases of national emergencies due to, among other things, civil disobedience. This is not about the Coronavirus in particular... it’s a huge power grab, and absolutely bracing for the possibility of us peasants getting restless.
