I was in grocer yesterday, getting a few supplies we ran short on. And say an elderly couple, 70s , with obviously hand sewn masks on.
The gentleman's was the American flag design and the ladie's was a red mask with the "MAGA" logo cut out from the cap sewn on it.
I probably should have said something about their hero, but I was honestly a bit shocked.

How he was violating US Flag code. The flag should never be used as a decoration. Not on clothing, napkins, tablecloths, etc. Just because its now a marketing and sales tool for everyone and their brother, doesn't mean it's proper flag usage.
By wearing that pattern as a mask, he was essentially spitting on the flag every time he opened his mouth.

7. An exercise in futility

My ex-husband gets all of his "news" from FauxNews. It's infuriating to me that a lifelong Democrat could turn like that. It's equally infuriating that his voter registration still says "Democrat" for his affiliation. But there's nothing I can do about what has happened with him, and I have to learn to accept that.
