The incontrovertible evidence that Trump has failed as a leader is the number of private individuals

and corporations that are using their own time and resources to fill in the gaping deficits of Trump's failed response to the coronavirus.

Today I'm reading how the Patriots are using their own plane to bring 1 million masks from China to the U.S.

GM was not able to get a definitive response from the White House to make ventilators, so they did it on their own to make them at cost. Meanwhile, Trump didn't spare a chance to trash GM, slapping them in the face with an unnecessary Defense Production Act, because he doesn't like them.

On Facebook we're encouraging high school friends who know how to sew to make masks that we will purchase from them, because we know we don't have a supply here in the U.S.

Meanwhile, the U.S. government has been aiding and supporting private corporations to ship our supplies out of this country.

Seriously, what the fuck is going on?

By hurting them in blue states, and by hurting them in their red states by failing to protect, and refusal to help. His causing people to die, both democrats and republicans, trump is exposing himself as a traitor, and his intent to hurt Americans and our country now, while he sends supplies to other countries that are not ally's first, depleting our supplies while Dr's and nurse's die from it here.

“Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: ‘You will be ever hearing but never
understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people’s heart
has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their
eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with
their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’ " -- Matthew 13:13-15

Spritual blindness and deafness is caused by a calloused heart. Trump's supporters,
at this stage, are incapable of seeing and hearing the evil that gushes from him.

We don't have to worry about winning over Trump's "true believers" and it's a waste of time to try. We have to appeal to Democratic voters, independent voters, and YOUNG voters. We don't need Trump's base to be able to win. Ironically, many of Trump's disciples will probably be victims of this virus.

I don't wish harm on anyone. However, this is a self-inflicted wound. Trump is literally killing his own supporters. You'd think that one of his "advisers" would mention that to him.

He knows he goes to jail if not elected and everything he's doing is to ensure that doesn't happen. Wonder if PUtin is paying a bonus for every 10,000 deaths because he sure is doing almost everything humanly possible to increase deaths and long term disruption. I really think he wants a major crisis to occur near election time so he will cancel the elections - in the name of National Security. Wouldn't be surprised if Barr hasn't hired people to riot and disrupt things since he wanted that law put in place so badly that during any national emergency, anyone could be jailed indefinitely for any reason including illegal gathering on the streets or blocking traffic Thank God even Moscow Mitch said no to Barr and drumpf and PUtin on this.

article along with 30 other stories just becomes noise.

The NY Times releases a scathing story on the delay in testing its lead was:

The Lost Month: How a Failure to Test Blinded the U.S. to Covid-19
Aggressive screening might have helped contain the coronavirus in the United States. But technical flaws, regulatory hurdles and lapses in leadership let it spread undetected for weeks.

Lapses in leadership!?!?!? WTF - tRump LIED to us! He LIED and OBSTRUCTED and now many more people are going to die because of it. This wasn't a case of "there were several possible outcomes and we picked the wrong one". There was only one realistic outcome but tRump chooses to ignore reality and LIED to us to try to keep the Dow from tanking.

The exposure of Don as a faker / con man/failure.
The forced restructuring of societal communication - that is, with the net, we are all essentially equal and equally reachable. So it is much easier for one person to start a nationwide movement and bypass politicians to get things done. In a sense, we have Don to thank for this- his failure to lead made everyone find ways around him, Maybe this will wrest control of the government away from big money, and return it to "the people", as Lincoln described.

For republicans it's all about doing it yourself. These things are small drops in the bucked compared to what the federal government could do if we had effective leadership. This is how republicans have hollowed out our government response so that they can claim gov't doesn't work and give more resources to large corporations.

WTeverlovingF?

Same as their treatment of the Pentagon, various governors, Puerto Rico during and after Maria, add your own White House failures here.

WHY are they doing so little, and doing that badly?

I tend to view everyone around Trump, and Trump and family, as not too bright and in over their heads, but there are countless civil servants who can hold their hands and lead them in the right direction.

Since that’s not happening, what is? What’s their agenda that’s keeping them from doing what anyone can see should be done?

The Patriots taking it upon themselves and GM taking it upon itself and getting something done to benefit the greater good and the needs of the needy. He’s already trying to rewrite New York and the state of Washington for dragging their feet and getting too late a start on combating the virus - when it’s the EXACT opposite - HE’S the one who dragged HIS feet until way too late. They didn’t. Both state governments were on it right away. WHILE the donald made excuses and distractions and denials and assorted rage Tweets.

He’s gotten away with it so far. I suspect this has been a pattern over his entire life. And people let him get away with it, which only emboldens him to do it again, only more and bigger.

The only question remaining at this point is - will he get away with it THIS time? Will he be ALLOWED to get away with it??? ‘Cause by now, it’s on US.
