Capt. Brett Crozier, a 28 year veteran and Academy graduate was relieved of duty for sounding an alarm for the welfare of his crew. That's what leaders do. The crew of the Theodore Roosevelt was absolutely in danger, with about 100 cases of C-19 and climbing.
I am a Navy vet. When I was in, more than fifty years ago, quarters were cramped. While today's crew quarters are more comfortable and have a bit more privacy, they are still cramped. Social distancing is just plain impossible.
Clearing the ship is the right thing to do.
Capt. Crozier asked for help in a letter.
An excerpt of the letter found its way into a newspaper.
Team Trump relieved him of duty.
These are the very same fuckers who wrap themselves in our flag and tell us how great they are for the military.
