Email to Hobby Lobby (Looty Booty) regarding their decision to operate

in defiance of Stay at Home Orders.

Note that their website indicates that their stores are now closed but as we know several of them closed then reopened in areas where they were not supposed to.

Gentlemen: I am writing to express my absolute disgust with the decision by this company to operate stores in defiance of Stay at Home orders in several states requiring Non-Essential businesses such as yours to close. You may rest assured that I will never set foot in your stores again and I will share my feelings with others.

Most Sincerely,

You don't want them to disobey God, do you?

God spoke to the owner's wife, a noted Prayer Warrior, and made clear they were to keep their stores open.

Lest there be any question, this is straight reportage, not sarcasm.

One would suppose God might have warned them the items they purchased as scraps of the Dead Sea Scrolls were faked modern forgeries, but He is said to move in mysterious ways. Perhaps he just wanted someone else to have some of their money....

Have told them so several times.

Fortunate here to have local craft stores to which I can give my matronage..

When they do. "Rule of thumb" is a good one.

In the late 60's and 70's, we worked hard on gender-neutral language. The work still continues. Kristen Lems has a wonderful song Caledonia "Gender Neutrl Blues".

The statute prohibiting wagering was changed from "...a contest of strength or endurance of man or beast..." to "persons or animals." I found myself wondering who lobbied for the animals.
