Adelson has dual citizenship and uses it to the hilt. He publishes a pro-Likud FREE newspaper in Israel that has propped up Bibi and since Adelson (and his Chinese money laundering buddies) pretty much owns Bibi. I've long felt it was Adleson's money that's been stirring a lot of pots lately. 100 million here and there gets you a lot of friends and influence.

You are right...this is smelling real real bad and as an American Jew I am both embarassed and outraged at the Likudniks who are doing to Israel what the wingnuts and fundies are doing here...ruining both countries.

So I may not have had the date straight but the coincidence of the film's release and the source of the film are too much to ignore.

The film has been shown in theaters exactly once, in Hollywood, earlier in the year. An English language trailer appeared on YouTube in July and an Arabic translation of it appeared on YouTube around a week ago -- it is that trailer that appears to be what has set off the reaction.

The arabic-translated trailer was released in time for 9/11.

Romney couldn't wait to condemn the President's response to the movie by implying it was a response to the violence that followed.
