You ever get the impression that Mitt doesn't really want to be president...

just likes the idea of running for president so he gets all that attention.

I mean even Sarah Palin doesn't seem as incompetent as the way Mitt Romney is acting. And all Ryan does when his lips moves is lie.

I think Mitt is getting the idea that this might actually be work, and he won't be able to take as many vacations or fire as many people as he thought he would.

that's it precisely. He has no desire to run this country-hasn't a clue how to either. In fact I think the only time he's spent on thinking about the end game is who he would 'outsource' the functions too.
He wants the letterhead-the responsibility-not so much.

I've been saying this for a long time. It's just not possible to fuck up every aspect of his campaign as badly as MittWit has without it being intentional. I wonder if he felt pressured by the Mormon community (ya know, the whole White Horse Prophecy thing). But Mormons don't seem terribly interested in his campaign either.

So who urged him to run? Certainly not mainstream, somewhat sane repukes; certainly not the extreme rightwing nutjobs.

Seriously, who though this jackass stood a chance of winning? Maybe the billionaires on the right? They wanted an empty suit they could force to do their bidding? Well, they got one!

That he thinks he was born to rule. He's discovered that being elected by the American people is quite different. He might actually have to do some work, and that scares the hell out of him - dealing with that unruly lot that is the electorate.

I think Mitt Romney got sold a bill of goods by the GOP that he could just sail into the presidency and he would be king.

He's finding out that what he thought of himself was a farce - we judge ourselves by our ideals, and others by their actions. Mitt is getting judged by his actions and is coming up so short he would have to dig to see daylight.

on anal retentiveness. I am 100% convinced he is one.

Besides the obvious traits, Authoritarianism, Stubbornness, Finickiness, Hyper-Sensitivity, there is also one that an anal retentive amasses wealth and possessions

I think he has meticulously amassed wealth and possessions to the nth degree. He has taken every tax advantage that exists.

I believe his motivation is to widen the possibility of achieving more wealth and possessions...lowering rates, shrinking govt to open up new private sector markets opportunities.
