Got the covid money deposited in my account this morning.

I just checked and sure enough it landed in my account this morning.

Edit: I'm not on social security and we filled our taxes in February. I have it setup via hr block to direct deposit ( or direct pay when we owe some ).

Still nothing here. I am pretty much out of non-food money right now so really need it.

For those getting retirement social security the payment will come quickly to the same place social security goes. Or those who filed tax returns for 2019 or 2018 using direct deposit for a refund. Money will soon go to that account. But if you only filed tax returns but without bank info it could take months. But the IRS says it will open a web portal where you can enter bank info to get money quickly. The recent portal they opened is not the bank info portal, it is just a way for those without retirement social security who do not file tax returns to register for the checks. So if you filed taxes with direct deposit, just wait. They claim you will get money next week. Same if you get retirement social security and don’t file tax returns. Other wise watch out for news of the new IRS portal for entering bank info.

I recently filed a tax return with direct deposit info because I thought I had to. Nothing in mine yet either.

I thought some govts stimulus checks had been sent based on people saying they got it. In fact to generate publicity and attract new customers some digital financial firms have advanced to some customers the $1200 or some part of it.

Some people got $600 and complained they got only half the $1200 promised. In fact the Democratic Party proposal for an extra $600 per week unemployment benefits which Trump signed got sent out retroactively for the previous week. The stimulus check will be on top of that.

The govt says the real stimulus deposits will go out next week.

Understandably in such a massive enterprise there have been glitches. So don’t spend it yet.

Since I retired 3 years ago I owed a few hundred to the IRS each year. I always got more back from my state taxes so it always worked out. But the IRS would have to go back more to find my bank account.

Unless you use the web portal, or have direct deposit of Social Security, they'll mail you a check.

I don't want to risk seeing an actual check with his cardiac signature on it.
