Trump is trying to kill off the postal service to kill mail in voting. Just saw on online plea to buy stamps in order to save them.
If half the population of the US bought just one $11 roll of forever stamps, it would raise $1.5 billion for them.
I bought 2 - don't really need them, but will donate to the noncomputer users here in my building.

(15,948 posts)I probably have 995 left. They are getting pricy which is why i bought so many 5 years ago. I am saving money every stamp I use even though I have only used 5 in five years. lol.

(4,906 posts)I do all of my bills online, but ordered some anyway to give to neighbors who aren't online and depend on the postal service.

I read that many in Congress want to give $25,000 hazard pay. They deserve every Penney. They need money to modernize. Congress needs to give it to them.if need be over a few dead bodies! I am being funny here!

(16,987 posts)Though I don't send as many letters, cards, and bills through the USPS as I once did, I make a point of buying stamps to use for special mailings to friends and relatives.
And I love all the options, including the recently issued Gwen Ifill stamp.

So buy the stamps, DUers. Buy the frog stamps, the train stamps, the Mister Rogers stamps. You can even pre-order the Earth Day stamps.

(14,920 posts)I just now ordered three sets (wild orchids, military working dogs, and frogs) even though it will take me quite a while to run through that many. I am proud to support the USPS! Thanks for such a practical and positive suggestion.

(4,906 posts)I was gratified to see the notice on the order page that read: "Due to high volume..." Yay! I think it's working!

(31,402 posts)I still send Christmas cards/letters. Bought seasonal forever stamps for that later this year.
Bought 2 sheets of 20 Forever stamps for normal use.
Bought 4 different sheets of specialty stamps that I'm going to frame and give as gifts. I even found a website where you can order custom framing. Because who is going to Michael's now?!?
I wish there were some way to see how much their sales have increased over the past week. Kind of like GoFundMe - it's fun to watch the dollars climb for a good cause.
