Is MSNBC mad at Katy Tur?

She’s demonstrated excellent reportage, starting with her on-scene coverage of the Trump campaign wherein that candidate vilified her for doing her job. So now her bosses have partnered her with Brian Williams, hardly the first time a duo has shared a desk. But they seem to have put him in the ‘boss’ position, with her as decorative mouthpiece who functions at his permission. She just did an interview with Robert Reich, and she wasn’t even allowed to close; Williams ended it, leaving her to sit there blinking into the camera. What the hell, MSNBC? She deserves better, and so do we.

So when he is there he is the head honcho and runs the show. Of course the exception is when he is on with Rachel, then she is the Boss!

are improvising a bit these days with the technology. it's different than being in a smooth, well run and timed studio setting.

I woke up from a nap yesterday, and saw Ari Melber at 4PM and thought "Sheez, that was a long nap." Ari was filling in because Nicole lost power at home.

I'm having trouble keeping track of what day it is... And, MSNBC (unintentionally) is not helping me keep track of the time of day.

6. I dunno -- there have been a lot of flubs lately as everyone tries to adapt to remote broadcasting.

Lots of folks are Skyping from their homes and others from remote studios with satellite links, complete with that awkward delay to and from geosync orbit. Working with unfamiliar crews and equipment turns pros into sudden amateurs for awhile.

... They almost seem to be handing folks airtime randomly.

Less Chuck Todd, though... please.

It gets awkward now and then. Don’t think it is anything dire. If Katy is home she has a small baby around. Sharing on air duties probably requires a bit of coordination. No well-organized studio with a staff is available.

Brian can boast about his past derring-dos, factual or fiction, and be rehabilitated to top position.

I like Katy Tur also, but with the remote feeds they're using, things get complicated.

have been "Rehabilitating" Brian Williams for a couple years in order to give him back a prime time slot. Last reported salary for Williams was 25 million. Making hm the highest paid NBC Talent.
