Shes demonstrated excellent reportage, starting with her on-scene coverage of the Trump campaign wherein that candidate vilified her for doing her job. So now her bosses have partnered her with Brian Williams, hardly the first time a duo has shared a desk. But they seem to have put him in the boss position, with her as decorative mouthpiece who functions at his permission. She just did an interview with Robert Reich, and she wasnt even allowed to close; Williams ended it, leaving her to sit there blinking into the camera. What the hell, MSNBC? She deserves better, and so do we.

(4,919 posts)I woke up from a nap yesterday, and saw Ari Melber at 4PM and thought "Sheez, that was a long nap." Ari was filling in because Nicole lost power at home.
I'm having trouble keeping track of what day it is... And, MSNBC (unintentionally) is not helping me keep track of the time of day.

(36,262 posts)Lots of folks are Skyping from their homes and others from remote studios with satellite links, complete with that awkward delay to and from geosync orbit. Working with unfamiliar crews and equipment turns pros into sudden amateurs for awhile.

Less Chuck Todd, though... please.

(6,796 posts)It gets awkward now and then. Dont think it is anything dire. If Katy is home she has a small baby around. Sharing on air duties probably requires a bit of coordination. No well-organized studio with a staff is available.
