actually is a European corporation, headquartered in Walldorf, Baden-Württemberg, Germany?...

(10,204 posts)I was at an SAP meeting in Philadelphia that week, which was the last business trip I took. Our meeting leader told us on Monday 2 March that SAP had shut down all travel, so evidently he was one of the last people from SAP HQ that was out on the road. He said that Frankfurt airport was almost completely empty when he departed, and that the plane to PHL had maybe 15 people on it.
In contrast, my flight from SFO -> PHL was completely full. By the time I boarded my return flight, which was completely full when I checked in the afternoon, about 1/4 of the passengers bagged the flight. When I got to SFO, I was shocked to see that the United terminal was PACKED. I never ran out of a terminal so fast in my life.
So SAP was ahead of my SF based company by one week with "shelter at home" orders.

(18,481 posts)PHI airport is closed. PHI is in Port O'Connor, TX.
PHL airport is in Philly.
BTW, is the construction finished at SFO?

(10,204 posts)Corrected. I usually check these things, too.
Last few years have been constant construction at SFO. They finished Terminal 1 (now Harvey Milk Terminal). International terminal (including Gate G) is scheduled to be completed in 2021.
