There goes the Led Zeppelin vote for Paul Ryan.....

Led Zeppelin, Buddy Guy to get Kennedy Center Honors

http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/music/posts/la-et-ms-led-zeppelin-buddy-guy-kennedy-center-honors-20120912,0,504748.story

If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now. It's just a spring clean for the May queen. Or something.

Led Zeppelin's lyrics may mystify occasionally. But there's no doubting that the British heavy-metal gods knew how to wring pure dramatic power out of Jimmy Page's intricate guitar fingerings, Robert Plant's tenor shrieks, John Paul Jones' ferocious basslines and the late John Bonham's brilliant baroque drumming.

So there's a certain poetic justice in the fact that Led Zeppelin is being honored this December by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts alongside another musician known for his primal urgency, Chicago bluesman Buddy Guy. Whether loudly bemoaning his woman troubles or bringing his guitar down to a hushed confessional, Guy has been praised by Page himself (among many others) as "an absolute monster" and master of the genre.

Led Zeppelin and Guy are among the class of 2012 that will receive the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors, joining Dustin Hoffman, David Letterman and Natalia Makarova, a former Kirov Ballet dancer during the Soviet era who later joined the American Ballet Theatre.

Couldn't figure out how a douchebag like Ryan could be a fan of Rage Against the Machine.

I don't think LZ really cares much for American politics but this is just huge and makes me happy happy!!

I can't understand how someone can see over 100 shows of the same culture and not actually have a clue about the message that the singer has with his/her songs. But Christie claims to have seen Bruce over 100 times in concert and yet he hasn't once listened to the lyrics that Springsteen sings.

I started out as a healer but got fed up with some of the idiots in the random dungeons. Since I returned I have strictly done shadow.

I'm working my Blood Elf Hunter now and debating if I want to stay marksmanship or try Beast Mastery.

I can handle having a good DPS either way

And Shadow Priests are, hands down, the best DPS in the game. I LOVE having Shadows in the group, because they sustain dps, and burst dps and just plain dps their asses off.

cause Led Zeppelin would be under "L" not "Z" so Rage Against the Machine wouldn't make his player's playlist. He is such a tool.

what they usually do is get others to perform the music or other art of those being honored while they just sit up there and watch.

i usually find kennedy center thing to be boring even if i like those being honored but i might watch this. especially with Letterman hopefully it will be fun.
