This is how I see Donald's future ...
I was reading in another thread that the Trumps want to own their own media to take on Fox. I think it's a pipe dream, specifically because I don't think they can afford it, and I'm not so sure they'd be able to find the financial backing.
So, I got to thinking what life would be like for Donald after we elect President Joe Biden ... Once out of the powerful Oval Office ... Donald, his kids and company will be bogged down in legal issues and legal bills. He won't have the RNC or campaign donations to pay his and Don Jr.'s way anymore. I suppose they could start a GoFundMe. I'm sure opportunistic lawyers won't deem him worth their while to defend anymore. Some may, but Donald is facing deep legal problems. Who wants to sign on knowing Donald is notorious on stiffing attorneys? Unlike now, with family and sycophants propping him up to make him presentable to the world, he'll be a pathetic, senile old man who won't have much to offer. He'll rage on and rage Tweet, but after a short while, who cares what he has to say anymore? Donald may go down rather quickly. And his kids? Presently they're only useful to people who try to capitalize on the old man while still in office. Once he's out? Well, his kids and son-in-law aren't too bright or even likable. I could be way off base, but am curious as to DU's speculation. ![]()

All of those seem plausible to me.

12. Good point.
However, I see him being sworn under oath about many matters of national security and committing criminal perjury. Also, violating the emoluments clause of the constitution.

14. There we go! Now those ARE real possibilities, and may he face them
repeatedly until he loses everything, and/or dies, and/or goes to jail. Any combination of those outcomes are satisfactory, imo.

10. I'd be happy with all 3
He flees to Russia, his American properties are siezed, Vlad sours on him and he's sent to a Siberian prison, where he lives too 110, in pain and shitting in his own pants 3 times a day, until he croak listening to the 8th State of the Union address from Sasha Obama.

I've long maintained that trump should lead a long life, healthy or not, providing it be spent in prison, where he belongs.

9. His cult will drop away too.
They'll get tired of his repetitive ranting. When he's not in the Oval Office it will be easier to admit he is a loser.
Although I wouldn't be surprised if he can find the funding to purchase a position in that cheapjack network, maybe with loans from Deutsche Bank. But I concede it will be an utter failure. Even MAGAts won't be able to stand him after a certain point, because when all is said and done he didn't make their lives better, and for many of them things are worse than thought possible. (And by then many will know someone who died of the virus). |

31. I think that if Trump loses
to Biden this November, his MAGA personality cult will fade pretty quickly. He'll be perceived of as a "weak loser" in their eyes, and they'll turn their backs on him. I reckon that would start a few days after Election Day and by the time President Biden is sworn in next January, I'd say that a whole lot of those who've supported Trump so fervently won't even so much as admit they ever voted for him.
They'll throw Trump under the bus in short order. |

Even if he gets a network, he'll be a loser has-been that hardly anyone pays attention to, while the Obamas will win awards for their ongoing contributions.

17. In what I think will be a controversial move, if he loses (and leaves office) in 2020...
...I expect he will immediately announce his candidacy for 2024 and launch an election committee.
He's a grifter and he's got an audience ready to donate to his cause. He'll milk that cow until it falls over in the stall and the only way to do that is a come-back tour. Think of it like the Dallas reboot...and just as cheesy. Eventually the money will dry up but every indictment will trigger new donations...he's going to become a professional martyr on the "librul" altar and from there he'll reach for every penny he can grift from the base. That's how I see his future...professional beggar. |

18. He's going to have some very significant cash
flow problems. His signature branding franchises are so badly tarnished as to be worthless. His fame has turned to infamy, further damaging the profitability of his commercial properties. His money laundering side biz will shrivel up under the intense legal scrutiny of the number of lawsuits that will scare off his crooked clients.
His grifting opportunities will shrivel up as there will be fewer rubes available who haven't learned something about Trump's shifty MO. His attacks on private individuals, the vulnerable, the weak, the patriotic, the heros, will no longer go unchallenged. The horrendous behaviors of his moronic, misbegotten offspring will contribute to Trump's downfall. Where, and how, will Trump find a way to make money post WH? Will it be legal, will he seek untical partnerships with the world's worst tyrants? |

22. We cannot fear reprisal;Trump has assuredly committed crimes, lots of them
And he needs to face our criminal justice system as would any other citizen.
We cannot conduct ourselves in a manner that ends up protecting Trump because of fear that the Republicans will do the same to Democrats in the future. We have to trust that justice will prevail, and if accused, our politicians will rise or fall depending on the facts and the evidence. |

23. It matters not how stinky the clown, nor how heinous the crime.
We always watch the train wreck of the the defrocked. I humbly submit Jim Baker. Hawking snake oil until the day he died, just a little while ago. He didn’t even have the decency to die from Covid-19 and grant us a little irony.
If Jim Jones had a little been a bit more forward thinking, he’d have survived the kool aid kegger, secure in the knowledge that today he’d be a hot item on Dr. Phil and the daily talk show circuit. He will never go away until he is dead. He will glory in his role as a political gadfly, because then he truly will be free to tweet any repulsive thing he wants. You think it’s bad now? Just wait. And his flock will never leave him. I really don’t get any of the posts here about how “I handed a trumper his hat yesterday, he just stood there in silence”. They never stand there in silence. At least not the ones I run into, and they will not be swayed by facts or knowledge, not one whit. Willful ignorance indeed. There are people who wallow in ignorance and there are people who revel in it. In November 2020, you’ll have a rare opportunity to identify the latter. I vote we paint a red “I” in the middle of their forehead. Tell ‘em it stands for “Intelligent”. |

I thought that was the one class of "employee" that he was good with. No worries, though, if he can't afford an attorney, one will be appointed ... yadda, yadda.

28. The deal he has made with several countries and oligarchs is that he is to
become one of the richest men in the world. IMHO. He is in this for only one reason and it has nothing to do with serving you and me and our country. Think he forgot to get a taste of gazprom? or saudi arms deal? Think he asked for nothing in exchange for lifting sanctions? What did he get for propping up Netanyahu? What did he get for the tax cut that benefitted his friends the most?
