Inmates said they begged officers to do something. (About a woman who died in...Maricopa County Jail)
They were telling everyone, Theres nothing we can do about it. This is jail. Get over it, Harper said.
Harper added that officers said Braillard was kicking drugs and that she was getting what she deserved.
Medical reports would later prove the guards were wrong. (She had diabetes)

If Romney becomes President, Joe Arpaio and his crooked cops will get elevated to the federal level, just remember that...

Do you have any idea what horrors you're suggesting we unleash?

(3,297 posts)All of a sudden, the shit-talking asshole is so tongue-tied that he had to get someone else to say "no comment" for him? There's a word I really want to call this waste of chest-hair, but I'm afraid my post would get alerted.

Wishful thinking on my part, but a plausible reason, I think! Regardless, his days are coming to an end... his kind can go with him.

(262 posts)Look it up. I live in the SoCal desert, & y'all need to read about him. "Gitmo" has better accommodations by the by. Keep in mind the MCSO's (Maricopa County Sheriff Office's) prison facilities are for low level non-violent offenders & a large percentage of the "detainees" haven't been tried & are awaiting trial in a place set up by a corrupt ELECTED motherfu**er. Since his election in I think 1992, he has been an elected bully of the highest order. Please help me fellow DU'ERS & copy & paste here or post the link to his Wikipedia page for everyone to read. Guarantee y'all...brace for a long read...yet he is allowed to walk among society.
There is a bit of good news in this post. The good news is this SOB's current term will thankfully be his last! He will NOT be seeking re-election. At the end of this year 2012, Scumbag Joe will retire. This is great news for the citizens of Mariposa County. For the citizens in this county, the reign of terror will be over!

(3,173 posts)Any prison guard diagnosing a prisoner without calling on medical personnel is doing just that.
I think every guard colluding in this negligent homicide should also be charged with illegal practice of medicine.
And the family should go back to the judge and ask if the offense or the sentence was capital. If not additional charges should be tacked on to the guards who failed to do their jobs.
I also want to see where in their job description the guards are told their job is anything other than guarding. I'll bet not a single guard has the word punishment in their job description, yet many seem to view their job as only that.

(25,415 posts)The blood sugar gets too high. Seizures, vomiting, and then coma. Easily prevented with just a shot of a few units of insulin. Pretty disgusting. I can't imagine begging for help in that condition and no one helping. I have been up to 500 mg/dl and felt horrific. I wonder what she was at....above 1,000 probably. That lands you in the hospital.
