(18,755 posts)people ask what would a modern civil war look like? You are seeing it.
Neighborhoods burn while the people cheer. So far only have heard of two unconfirmed deaths.

(7,580 posts)this all could have been prevented except for four cops decided to become judge. jury. and executioners. All they had to do was put a black man in a police car and take hiim to jail.

(12,051 posts)solicitous of its population's rights and desires because they will shut Paris down for weeks with strikes, fires, cars being overturned, etc., etc.
To "tsk, tsk" when Americans riot in the face of the string of monstrous, brutal, needless killings of black men and kids is just bullshit. I'm surprised at the restraint black people have shown in the face of such callousness and viciousness.

(16,189 posts)Last night discussing situation in Minneapolis with an older friend. His abhorrence of violence and of what the cop did turned into but look at the violent protestors and what they are doing now...
I suspect provocateurs and undercover instigators, who shore up the public.
Debated whether the fires could be provocateurs with a friend, then heard exactly that I felt sympathy but now I dont statement an hour later from someone else I know.
It makes me angry and discouraged, but this is the way a swath of America thinks.

(37,452 posts)nuts in the middle of a pandemic.burning and looting somehow that really reinforces the point of the shooting when property owners are targeted. Once again they play into the hands of people that won't support their cause.
