The protests were peaceful until now but a bank has been set on fire as well as the post office. Both of these buildings are right next to the 5th precinct building. I think the Office Depot store has been looted, too. This is crazy.

down Lake Street from the site of last night's protests, and there haven't been any problems all evening until now. I am wondering whether there aren't anarchists or agents provocateurs, the sorts who often turn up during protests.

I hope the truth comes out.. since I don't have a clue I'm not going to speculate anymore except to say we've seen them take advantage before.. "..anarchists or agents provocateur..".

and the flash-bangs in the distance. And it pisses me off that the post office is on fire even though I only ever get ads in the mail.

Seems very suspicious to me. I'm betting outside forces are at play.

It's a very small building, not much bigger than a gas station. I don't think they'd bother with it.

This was maybe four or five years ago. Not arson or anything, don’t know what happened. But it took more than two years to reopen it.

Instead of walking three blocks to the P.O. had to get in the car and drive to one. Mostly, I missed the ladies that worked there.

Sorry for your loss. This is getting out of hand. I lived in southwest Mpls. for 14 years, and this is all hard to believe.
