Truck incident was apparently an accident

MN govenor just stated that the incident of the semi truck driver appearing to run into the crowd was just an accident, the driver was in between roadblocks and had no idea the crowd was there.

If anything it was police who were slow to react and block off roads to protect protesters.

1. I wondered. It seemed he DID try to miss protestors and to brake as quickly as possible.

I was trying to figure it out because it didn't seem to make sense that he was doing it intentionally.

When I think of what happened to the driver after Reginald Denny during the Rodney King aftermath, I wondered if he was speeding to prevent anyone jumping on his truck and dragging him out.

It appeared he might have been able to pass up the crowds until somebody or two stumbled to the ground in front of him and he had to stop. Naturally, what he feared might happened if he stopped did happen but I'm thankful that somebody, police or civilians, got him to safety.

By the way, I'm impressed by all of the people who are peacefully protesting and risk their own safety to prevent violence and looting, speaking up and even standing in the way to prevent window breaking, etc. This was seen in front of a Target store in one city.

But by no means should you chase anyone with a machete. That's was a bad idea for the man in Dallas.

what a coincidence!

Records showed that he contributed to Trump while he claimed to be unemployed.

4. I thought so at the time and now we know so did at least some of the protestors.

First understand that the freeway was going to be closed at 8pm, but once the protestors seized the freeway they advanced that 3 hours. The barrier he seems to have bypassed was being put in place to get the protestors off the road after they crossed the bridge. Several cars and him rushed to get around it before it was in place.

When he actually saw what was happening he acted pretty well.

Truck drivers don't make a whole helluvalot of money.

I'm sure it was all just a mistake.

Not sure if that would make be better or worse at protesting.

I used to think that my behavior was just being inexperienced, but I believe there is now evidence that our brain is still developing until our mid 20s, and we just don't deal well with rational thought. It makes me wonder if you could fight a war with soldiers who are over 25.
