The brain (our self-ish impulses) and the soul ( "godly" impulses ), the mustard seed soul doesn't have enough influence to counteract the selfishness of the brain.

Another biblical truth: in the sower/soil parable, Jesus describes 4 different reactions to godly values. Only 1 responds positively and fluorishes. The other 3 are useless or worse,pervert good values. So, 75% of souls/people don't reach out to do good for others and 1/3 of those will construe doing good as a bad thing. Jesus's realism is playing out before our eyes.

All the qualities you list are soul qualities. The GOP makes its appeal nowadays purely to the brain's self-ish qualities of fear, suspiciousness, greed, lying, cheating, materialism, money, power, violence.

You, I and DUers are trying our best to "work in the vinyard." Wine symbolizes spiritual values, so we see our purpose as instilling soul values on the earthly level.

2. I think humanity is of 2 types

Soulless or shells,and people ensouled and carrying a spark of wisdom desired for.

The shells are going to fail
Become burnt chaff as Sekhmet separates the world to stop the shells .
