Housing in my part of the South is far more integrated than any other place that I have been. The issue of racism and white supremacy is not just a southern issue.

It was and still is an issue. But, the South is no worse than any other part of the country.

I know what the South was like. Schools in my hometown didn't integrate until 1970, years after the Civil Rights Act and 16 years after the Supreme Court outlawed segregated schools.

When I grew up the confederate flag decal was on lots of vehicles and clothing, now I hardly see one in person. Things have changed majorly here.

Errors. I never meant to say south as in nowadays.

My family half of it is down south and they are very accepting of my gender and they are kind.

My family for the most part are Dems. My aunt however is a magat, but a very polite one. Her bullshit is more subtle.
Like calling me by my dead name. She's a fundie freak but she knows I'll never convert so she keeps it to herself around me.

She knows better than to start an argument with me I eviserate her arguments everytime and she has to admit I have a valid point.

Maybe the full on dicktater shit she'll see. Ain't gonna hold my breath tho.
