Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher

later today. An Air Force Hurricane Hunter aircraft is scheduled
to investigate the system later this morning.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb (29.62 inches).

(2,343 posts)I texted my wife a screenshot of the possible trajectory and she responded with "2020 is like a horror funhouse ride."
2016 used to be my vote for worst year ever. Then 2020 said "hold my beer."

(25,343 posts)Currently there is a high pressure over Florida (The infamous Bermuda high is over Florida). This is steering it somewhat more westward than usual for June 2nd.
The high over Florida could move and the eastern gulf coast could be affected.
If this pressure drops below 999 mb, this is where it goes:
At the current pressure of 1003 mb, the steering is towards Mexico:
The steering is based on real time and models are based on predicted changes in the atmosphere.
