A must-read on wealth inequality for all DUers: Piketty's "Capital and Ideology"...

Krugman calls it "the most important economics book of the year--and maybe of the decade." I would say of the 20th c. so far.

Robert Reich calls it "breathtaking."

It's a massive book (1000 pages) but enjoyable throughout, covering the globe and several centuries.

FYI, Piketty took the field of economics by storm with his 2013 "Capital in the Twenty-First Century." That is a long book of hardcore economics, showing the economic reasons why wealth inequality will continue to increase and proposing a solution: redistribution via a global tax on wealth.
