So, the chairman of the joint chiefs now says he shouldn't have been in...

the march to the church.

Everyone should be allowed the occasional mistake, but is this the sort of decision making we want from the person in charge of war strategy?

He just moments ago came to this realization ? He is inherently a follower not a leader. Not military leadership timber.

Historical record (lawsuits) of how he DECEIVES people. He does it consistently and hasn't STOPPED now. The General got PLAYED, DUPED into Trump's campaign photo op. He is not the first nor the last victim of Trump's manipulations. At least the General admitted his mistake and apologized. I don't think he WAS FULLY AWARE of how he was being USED at the time!

When he loses, the military won't bail him out.

They are done being his props and playthings.

One, acknowledge that even the highest level leaders of the military are human and can make mistakes. We can accept allow them to learn from those mistakes give them the opportunity to oppose the most egregious actions of the administration.

Two, we can adopt a zero tolerance policy. We can demand their resignation or failing that, that they be fired as unfit. Trump can then appoint a more compliant candidate to fill that position. Someone who will not admit to mistakes or oppose any order from the administration either publicly or privately.

We don't accept this shit in the military.

Why, I remember one of my Navy skippers saying; "it was wrong for me not to establish Romeo Corpen for the UNREP, .sorry about the dent in the side"

This was a "mistake" of CONSTITUTIONAL PROPORTIONS by the HIGHEST RANKED OFFICER in the land... the guy who can ask the Chief of Naval Operations to get him a cup of coffee.

This is NOT a "sorry, my bad" screw up, it's a FUBAR wrapped around a SNAFU, stuffed inside a shit sandwich with a side of Goat Rope.

He needs to step down.
