In places where we expect voter machine fraud is there a way to have someone

at each precinct that can take a physical tally? Like after each person votes they can go and register their votes so as to leave a paper trail?

I do not trust the GOP and since seeing some recent machine videos in FL I absolutely expect them to fix the vote again.

There must be something we can do. I would volunteer to hang around all day and register votes.

That's the function of Poll Watchers. It varies by state, but in my red/rube state each candidate Hoyt Jun 2020 #5

We do see Exit Polls after the elections, which is what you are talking about I think.

But I don't believe that there is anything on this order to be done on election day.

Our preparation now may be more important. Getting as many people to vote by mail would help, although the Republicans are fighting this like mad. To quote my Governor Brown "Paper ballots can't be hacked." (Oregon)

can appoint a poll watcher for each polling place, political parties and some other groups can appoint poll watchers, etc.

Unfortunately, not sure it works like it is intended. But, there is not reason someone can't count the ballots issued and the tally from each precinct.
