...obligation for community service. Because, you know those minority "actors" no doubt have been convicted of something. And the "in lieu of payment" means we can save a few bucks.

Stiff you - and then insult you while he's at it.

I hope Joe has someone count all the china and silverware when the orange kleptocrat leaves office.

...I hoped that he, in a old Greek tradition, would celebrate the occasion by breaking Nancy's china. But that's completely different. Just a fond old memory of getting rid of Reagan.

I remember feeling bad for him, the way Old Man Bush pulled ahead (he had been consistently behind, you'll recall) mostly by way of that Willy Horton ad.

But in hindsight, I realized that it was better that way:

Had Dukakis won, he would have no doubt been blamed for the recession that was already coming down the pike thanks to Reagan's Wall Street bubble and S&L disaster.

A good man, at a bad time.

And for many years, it wanted mostly Republicans in the White House.

Until Dubya and the Orange Menace.

That he's a criminal and a swindler - yet he's always gotten away with it (the way no average person can).

"A stupid man's idea of a smart man," Mark Twain, I believe, once put it.
