We've argued and challenged each other's witnesses and documents and other evidence. Both of us not wanting to cede an inch. Determined to win without going outside the Rules of Court (or pissing off the judge).

And after the trial was over, I had new friends. Because we respected each other's tenacity and how the other was just doing their job for their client.

You can compartmentalize your feelings and passions at trial (or in a debate) without hating your adversary.

I backed her during the primaries as my presidential choice, and now I'd like to see her as Joe Biden's vice presidential choice. If that's not to be, then as a last resort I'd like to see as as AG. She's one tough cookie, and no one is going to pull the wool down over her eyes.

The OP was about Kamala brushing off the bus controversy (from 40+ years ago) as "It was a debate". I was simply stating she had that lined up to take Biden (the frontrunner) down, and it's disingenuous for her to say otherwise. If you remember the media had been trailing about the attacks Biden was going to be getting, and that he wouldn't be able to stand up to it.

They were all trying to take each other down.. that's the entire point of the primary process.

Kamala is most likely going to get the nod for VP.

1. She's a woman of color.
2. She's incredibly smart and capable.
3. She's charismatic and comes from a law and order background.

Most everything about her was rehearsed and her support was correspondingly superficial.

She would have come in 4th or 5th in her own state if the full field competed there.

Why none of this seems to have an impact on those who favor her for veep is pretty baffling. I’m sure Biden can do better.

though her star is rising at this point in time. Seems that every candidate has some drawback. Liz Warren is more self-aware but will raise alarms among laissez-faire capitalist Wall Street. Amy has Minnesota baggage and stiff hair. Kamala Harris to me is too animated, and as in the video clip on this OP, enjoys laughter that is not quite everyone's idea of humor. I still don't understand the clip, maybe it was too edited - we don't know what question was asked.

The ticket needs someone from the most senior offices in the land, preferably with executive experience. Governor or Senator experience, in my view, but I do think it will be Harris or Warren. Do you energize minorities, or do you energize progressives? I suspect the one with the least negatives will emerge.

I was a big Warren supporter in the primary but she kind of nets out as a break-even proposition as a running mate; as you say she energizes the opposition and Biden would probably feel compelled to distance himself from at least some of her big structural plans.

Of the four black candidates being discussed, I prefer Susan Rice, who’s a long shot but is seasoned and it seems to me very compatible with Biden. The wingnuts will bring up Benghazi but after four years of Trump that’s not going to register with anyone outside Uber-wingnutland.

The race comes down to EV’s and in particular the Midwest, so a coastal liberal running mate really doesn’t make much sense to me. That’s why Klobuchar was in the mix pre-George Floyd, but forget that. It’s also why I’d like to see more talk about Tammy Baldwin.

with Warren and Klobuchar, whoever had the momentum at the time. Biden was 4 or 5 on my list. Sanders was the one I wanted taken down. But, I like our candidates. And there are more than one picture of Harris and Warren together with huge smailes yet the Biden supporters work real hard to create a friction between them.

Whether VP or AG, I think it's fair to say Kamala Harris will be an important member of the new Administration. Here, she handled the question just right with humor and a firm commitment to Joe Biden.

Harris is a keeper!
