I think our collective short term memory may allow him to keep slugging along, but the wheels are definitely wobbling.

Of course, he's claiming he's a winner on Bolton because he thinks he can get the money for the book by suing. Except he won't sue because he can't possibly be put under oath about anything.

Too many horrific and monumental events have occurred in a brief period of time for his regime to overcome. Here’s hoping that the clusterfuck around firing (or not) US Attorney Berman is the denouement of a sordid tale that has gone on far too long.

It feels like it. But it has felt like it before.

It feels unlike the other times I have felt it before. But I have felt that before.

Honestly, I just need to see it happen to have faith that it will. And yes, I know that sentence makes no sense whatsoever. What in the last four years has?

the Goldwater & Co. visit like Nixon did by prominent Republicans lowering the boom. Given that senior Senatorial and Congressional Republicans have been totally on board for 3.5 years either by standing by silently, or worse, actively aiding and abetting, I ain't holdin' my breath. Same goes for the Cabinet and the 25th. Would love to be proven wrong. And I won't really feel 100% until he's gone, one way or the other, and the Oval Office has been thoroughly fumigated.

Johnson dropped out with poor numbers
Ford lost
Carter lost
GHW Bush lost

All four of them had approval numbers roughly 5 points or more better than Trump.

I thought the GOP would have turned on him by now.
They may yet at the convention.

They hate Trump nearly as much as we do.

They're very much into retaining power.

Would none of them think about this:
"Would my reelection chances be better with Nikki Haley (substitute whoever) at the top of the ticket? Our internal polling suggests strongly my chances would be much better"

I do not see them sitting on their hands with Trump losing badly.

Either that or they parachute an independent candidate to dilute Biden's votes or have the cheating down to a reliable art form.

Trump imagines a heroic appearance in front of huge adoring crowds as some protesters get their asses kicked outside. Instead we’re going to see an incoherent airing of grievances in front of a sparse crowd, followed by a COVID-19 outbreak.
