For as long as I can remember...

When Democrats vote, Democrats win. When Democrats don't vote, Republicans win. It's as simple as that.

If you vote Democratic, you may not get everything you want? You may not get anything you want? But if the Republicans win, it's almost a guarantee that you will not get what you want. On top of that, they may set us back so far that we will never get what we want or what we need. At least with the Democrats, there is a chance.

Voters need to understand that we are in this mess because of Republican Party policies. In 2001, before the election was stolen, we had a balanced budget and were on our way to paying off the national debt last year. Just imagine what we could have done as a people and as a nation if we had not gone down that road with the Republicans?

financial mess. Yet, when that passes, they come back and tell everyone how great they were. And far too many gullible people in the US fall for that line. No president will ever be perfect, but I would a hell of a lot more rather be not perfect with a democratic president.

For as long as I can remember.

And that's a long time.

And also why, IMO, the best thing we can all do right now is help get more people registered (and 'papered', in states where fierce disenfranchisement efforts are being waged).

Happy to report a small group of us in NYC registered 78 voters yesterday.
