DC park police and others already have the authority to arrest people for it. He's just trying to look tough for the MAGAts.

That is something that doesn't happen very often.


I like to see him flounder around and go into his talking points. Reporters should keep pressing him on actual details about what he is doing, AND point out that Federal agents are already empowered to make arrests on Federal Property. Also, that Federal Agents have NO jurisdiction on State property without specific authority from that State.

Maybe if the statue was owned by the federal government or located on federal lands, but otherwise it would either be state or private owned property where Trump has no jurisdiction.

He's all bluster and bark. He probably has some Hollywood movie clip where Seal Team Six parachutes down in the dark of night and sets up a sand bag bunker topped with razor wire around his precious statues of traitors.
