Valley of the Shadow: Two Communities in the American Civil War---UofVA

This is an in credible resource for anyone interested in the lived experiences of people in both North and South during the war and during the years li leading up to it

There are digital holdings of daily newspaper articles, etc

It's been some yrs since I looked at the, but I remember finding it a truly amazing resource.

I urge you to take at look at it

As I recall, it follows the lives through these yrs of the people living in a town in the Shenandoah Valley in VA and people living in a town near Gettysburg VA
