I've worked since I was 15 years old. Being 15, I had to get a work permit just to be able to work at Burger King. I worked all throughout the last two years and still managed to finish school with grades high enough to get some scholarship help. I worked all throughout college (and it took me more than 5 years to finish as a result). I went to work out of college and after 6 years opened my own business. After the business failed I went back to work for others for another few years until this March when I became so weak that I could not work.
I was diagnosed with Lupus in my kidneys and liver as well as a neuromuscular, mixed connective tissue disease that weakens the muscles nearest the trunk of the body, making walking, bathing, and even swallowing difficult sometimes. For months it was difficult for me to even hold my one year old daughter. I applied for disability while in the hospital at the Dr.'s urgin because they told me I could never work again.
I've paid taxes since I was 15. Most years I even paid self-employment tax (upwards of 30%). I'm now disabled and mooch off the government for about $12K a year when I used to bring home closer to 40-50 thousand a year.
So here I am living it up on the government's dime, justa mooching away.
So guess what Mittfuckstick, not only is this moocher voting for Obama, but since I cant work I have LOTS MORE TIME TO VOLUNTEER to keep you from getting elected and to monitor the polls this election to make sure that other moochers and voters like me prevent your happy ass from ever getting close to the White House.
So go fuck yourself...and Rafalca

(8,492 posts)I was on my own and supporting myself. When my son was born just after my 18th birthday, I refused financial aid and continued working full time, paying for daycare and supporting us both.
Being a Democrat, wanting a better life for everyone and supporting our President makes me a moocher? Yeah. This is why I'm a proud Democrat. I'll support our President and our citizens, both with my vote and my taxes.

(115,686 posts)and paying taxes faithfully every year, I just had to retire early because my job moved to a distant state. So, because I didn't inherit millions from my wealthy family and didn't make hundreds of millions more buying up companies and firing people, now I have to start drawing Social Security (which I paid into all those years) and will soon be mooching off the government. In a few more years I will mooch even more when I'm eligible for Medicare. I will be voting for Obama, of course, because I'm a lazy parasite who expects the government to give me everything.

(420 posts)Worked my way through high school, college, and grad degree. Paid taxes the vast majority of those years and sure could have used all of the "free stuff" for the lean ones.

(32,701 posts)Probably more than everyone on DU combined. Everyone "mooches" in some way or another, whether it's by using public resources or taking a tax deduction, etc., but Rmoney and other Cayman Island account having assholes have taken "mooching" to the next level. Uggh. I'm so disgusted by that man.

(224 posts)then worked some more, then I had a baby and am now taking time off with her. What a leech I am, taking care of a baby and just being a deduction for my husband. I don't deserve food OR health care!
