Yesterday as I was driving home I saw a huge bumper sticker on the back of a brand new Chevy Malibu:
OBAMA SUCKS
So, when you try to sell this vehicle you're going to have to paint the bumper after taking off that monstrosity. It goes for those that even have a small Nobama sticker or even a stupid End of an Error sticker (of course that one was copied from 2004).
I live on the Treasure Coast in Florida. I see many Obama stickers and Obama/Biden stickers. I have seen 1 or 2 Romney stickers. Mostly these anti-Obama stickers. I drive a lot (50 miles each way to work), so I see a ton of cars each day. The people with anti-Obama stickers just seem a little silly to me. You have to drive that car showing how much you hate something. So instead of liking the candidate (or heck any Presidential candidate), you choose to show your hatred. Very silly

(8,933 posts)During the 2008 election cycle I had an obama magnet. I agree with you about putting something on your car to say what you hate. But then I remember those boy peeing on ford or chevy stickers. My brother and BIL both have FUBO stickers on their cars and the nobama I think. I haven't seen any romney stickers on their cars.

(102,236 posts)vintage sign replica. It is sort of cool looking, really. But I have it only so I can find my car among many identical ones in a parking lot. Plus, the magnet doesn't hurt (though I have been worried someone might steal it).
To each his/her own, though. IMO those who put "anti-candidate" stickers on are basically advertising tot he world that they are assholes. At least BE FOR something.

(7,237 posts)And take it off when (if) you wash the car.
I had magnets ruin my paint because I put them on and never moved them. Couple years later it was a mess trying to get them off and the paint was a different color underneath. They kind of melted and fused with the hood in places. (Fortunately I was donating the car to a nonprofit and not trying to sell it.)

(213 posts)In fact, i can't think if i have even seen a handful. Interestingly, after the many times romney wedged his foot orally, limpballs tells his listeners: doesn't matter, we vote anti-obama. Period.

(110,159 posts)comment. i thought silly then, i think silly now. when it came time to sell the car i SIMPLY took the stickers off and they all came off fine leaving no damage.
now, one of the rules with my sticker collection is they all had to be positive and project the best of who we are. i have kids. it was an important mission for them to find ones that said what we wanted but in a positive way.
