Brussels celebrates 11th annual "Car-Free Day"

Brussels goes green as thousands have taken to the streets on foot, bicycles, skateboards and scooters as the Belgian capital celebrates car-free day.

The day is designed to encourage alternative ways of moving around the city.

The Belgian capital was not the only city to take part similar events took place in Brazil, Japan and Canada.
