One whom I know was in a horrible place financially four years ago, and is doing reasonably well now. They're more interested in the question than the answer, because the answer isn't what they want to hear.

Even though my family had a job loss 2 1/2 years into this Administration, we are in a better job market, living a better life, and our retirement savings have recovered. We feel much more secure about our future than at the close of Dumbya's administration.

Someone, please, tell me if my mock bumper sticker is no longer appropriate!

You are on a plane from California to Florida

A burning plane with one wing gone and a jet engine on fire.

A new pilot takes over the plummeting vehicle, calms the stewardesses, calms the crew, calms the passengers.
He steadies the plane, and lands it safely in Kansas.

The republicans on board are complaining that they paid for a flight to Florida.

but anyone who paid attention back then and knew how bad things were, can destroy that dumb talking point.

Seriously---The end of Dubya's reign, it looked like 9/11 when every plane in America was grounded.

It's as if everything had stopped.

They usually shut down any challenge with the comment, "Oh, you're one of those."

Had to explain to the knucklehead how the crash and burn of AIG would have been devastating.

Bank crash---bank runs--- nobody lending money---everything seemed to stop.

and on and on

"Osama Bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive."

Then throw in something about the Stock Market being at an all-time high, corporate profits being at an all-time high, and 27 straight months of positive job growth in the private sector. Oh, and by the way, taxes are at their lowest level in years (righties always respond to this one).

Then say something about millions more children are covered by health insurance, and millions of people will get life-saving medical treatment they would have been denied just a few years ago due to pre-existing conditions.

Then just pause for a moment and close with, ".....what do YOU think?"
