Standards for opening schools...

Start with; what would it take for all republican governors and high level GOPers to personally attend Trump's rallies and mingle?

They seem to be very reluctant to show up in person but perfectly ok with virtual video on the big screen away from the peons and peasantry.

1. Should be left to locals

with state guidance. The guidance should refer to the CDC's guidance, but it's still guidance.

Compelling non-opening is as authoritarian as compelling opening. Depends on conditions; and when conditions change and suddenly "the standard wisdom" that was all wrong 6 weeks before sounds right, let it be. Conditions changed. Only idiots think one-size-fits-all works, or that adapting to changing conditions is foolish.
