reading through articles and it drives me crazy - and it's not just from blog-type sites but the likes of Slate, WaPo, Vanity Fair etc., I don't get it.

Our local newspaper, and our online news sources are terrible.

The lack of good grammar, punctuation, etc. doesn't make sense to me because most of the writers have studied journalism. Don't they teach these things?

Shouldn't their draft be well written before they send it to the editor? And, if there is no longer an editor, then I would think the writer would be triple careful.

Another issue I have is the lack of clarity. Many times I end up having more questions after reading their articles. They miss the who, what, when, where, why and how come.
