In-person turnout for Alabama GOP runoff is extremely low

Joyce Alene @JoyceWhiteVance (U of Alabama Law Professor, MSNBC Contributor, Obama US Atty in B'ham)

Hearing reports that in person turnout today for the GOP primary runoff between Sessions & Tuberville (& some other races) is extremely low, even for a runoff.

... and significant numbers of Tide boosters will NOT be able to hold their noses and vote for him, even if it means losing to a Dem.

Loyalty to team is stronger than loyalty to party for many in AL -- enough to make an otherwise close election a wipeout.

If they realize no mail-in voting means Republicans won't show up to vote in person - although we've seen Democrats will stand in line for hours - they may change their tune.
