BIG MISTAKE! -- I just rewatched Obama's final WH Correspondent's Dinner speech

wow. talk about a depressing time warp to when things were sane in America. It dawned on me just how incredibly tired I've become in recent years dealing with Trump shit 24/7....

pre COVID pandemic and over 125,000 Americans dead (it is surreal to even type that)

pre Putin Puppet trying to sell out EU and US interests

pre mass unemployment brought about specifically because of Trump's toxic stupidity

pre-mass incarceration of Latinx families desperate to leave their terrible circumstances only to have children and infants locked in cages and separated from their mothers

pre-Brexit and all the hell that is still yet to unleash

if you really want to put yourself into the dumps, find the memorial service for the people who died at the hands of the racist in Charleston. It will really wrap you up...........

that they can cry genuine tears in public.

I remember watching Obama speaking shortly after his grandmother died and his tearing up...and I said to myself “there is a truly strong person”. Saw it again when he was speaking about Newtown...I don’t know how he got through meeting those families. Again he was so strong through the tears.

They went absolutely apeshit during his second term. That's when we saw the rise of Alt Right personalities like Alex Jones and Joe Rogan. I think that's where it all went fuck up.

Cheney and cult were lying us into war, they were trying to shut down any dissent and making up numbers about unemployment.

Obama as a black man triggered many people, no doubt. But origins with Rush and Foxnews far predated him

And that happened during his second term for sure. For the most part the Fox News led culture was widely considered a joke during the Bush years. During the Obama years everyone wanted them to take their whining and ranting seriously, and when people still didn't, that's when they became ungrateful brats.

for instance, they worked hard to get marriage referendums on ballots in 2004 to drive conservatives to the polls.

A true gentleman, in a quiet, caring, loving moment with his oldest daughter. I first put this up back in March of 2015.

I just can not for the life of me ever expect to see a photo of Trumpy in a similar vein.

the result of a wishlist to record him, about him, etc - and where I deleted fluff and kept some good stuff. I cannot bear to watch anything in it, but at the same time can't delete, because seeing normalcy and decency and intelligence and all we have lost is too depressing.

Maybe I'll be able to watch after January, as we begin the slow digging out from this horror.

if he could.

Talk about unintended consequences....

That is the most costly series of punch lines this country has ever experienced.

The turd is ALL about revenge. His whole purpose for running for president was for two things:

Revenge - he was going to make Obama pay. He KNEW he wouldn't win, but he could be the (fake) reality star for the duration of the campaign. And he DIDN'T win. Hillary did. The turd CHEATED his way into the White House, with the help of Putin.

Money - his run for presidency was going to turn his BRAND into something that would make him the multi billionaire that he CLAIMED to be. It was his latest and biggest con.

Unfortunately, he cheated into the office. He was just as surprised as the rest of the world. All thanks to Putin.

Which is why he gets his advice from Putin, and is intent of turning us into the latest satellite state of Russia.

Now he knows he can't win in November, and is intent on sowing as much chaos as possible, and destroying US because WE CAN'T STAND HIM. And he KNOWS it.

i think that was 2011 with Seth Meyers. while they were dropping zingers on Trump, Obama was in the midst of approving the take down of bin Laden.

It's not on Trump that the GOP is so craven they would nominate a huckster and criminal like him
