Left behind in her wake after Donald Trumps pre-Independence Day address were more than a half-dozen junior campaign staffers who Guilfoyle oversees as the presidents national finance chairwoman. The aides, whod been in proximity to Guilfoyle, were forced to quarantine in their Rapid City, S.D., hotel rooms for three days and barred from any face-to-face contact with colleagues as they pleaded with the campaign to get them home.
The campaign tried to reassure the staffers, checking in with them and stressing the need to wait a few days to take a coronavirus test. But the aides felt deserted and scared theyd get sick in a city theyd never set foot in before. They were so distraught that weeks later they sought out Stephanie Alexander, the campaigns chief of staff, to vent about the experience, according to people familiar with the incident.
The episode was the latest example of upheaval within the fundraising unit that Guilfoyle oversees, which is primarily responsible for cultivating networks of donors who cut checks in increments up to $2,800. Interviews with nearly a dozen Republicans familiar with the campaigns fundraising depict an operation beset by departures, staffers with no prior fundraising experience, and accusations of irresponsible spending.

(45,824 posts)if Trump "wins" a second term. and how long would dementia tests keep him in office anyway? but the thrust of my post is that his campaign apparatus is malfunctioning at every turn. It's barely competitive. You can't do everything wrong at the highest levels of competition and expect to win, or actually win. Things just don't work that way. It's almost like he's creating more excuses than anything else.

(102,084 posts)Why yes, there are plenty with her friend Somers Farkas (before and after Epstein's conviction and prison sentence)
Who is Somers Farkas, you ask? She's the friend of Don Trump Jr's bit on the side:
Kimberly Guilfoyle, the former television personality whos dating Mr. Trumps eldest son, controls an expanding fund-raising division that is paying at least one donor, the socialite Somers Farkas, to help raise money.

Her husband Jonathan was a friend of Jeffrey Epstein for decades: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-07-23/epstein-s-port-in-a-storm-co-owning-a-marina-with-tycoon-farkas
